A new, and exciting program offered by OCRA! Due to recent equipment acquisition, and additions to the coaching staff, Orange County is proud to offer a Youth Development Program!

The Youth Development is a rowing program for Middle School and young High School athletes who want to learn the sport of rowing, or improve their rowing abilities! This non-competitive program is designed to cater to all types of rowers, and there is absolutely no experience required to join! Emphasis is on rowing technique, boat handling, physical conditioning, teamwork and fun! This program is geared to prepare our young rowers for our Youth Competitive Program.

This program meets two evenings a week, and will combine "on water" and land based training.

All About The Basics

Rowers in our Youth Development program will learn proper rowing technique and basic training methods in a fun, safe, and nurturing enviornment.

Our team of qualified and expert coaches will be there every step of the way to ensure your experience is a positive one!

Rowing Readiness

Graduates of our Youth Development Program will have the necessary skills and conditioning needed to be a part of our highly successful Youth Competitive Racing Team!
